Close Weekly Holiday：Every Tuesday.
Other：Year-end and New year Holidays, periodic maintenance.
Access to the Museum

It takes approximately 15 minutes walk along the Tamagawa Josui "Waterworks"
from Mitaka Station South exit.
A community bus is in operation from Mitaka Station to the museum
(fare:one-way 200 yen / round trip 300 yen - 1/2 price for children under 12 years old).

Exclusive sales at Lawson ticket./The tickets are sold only in Japan.

Entrance to the GHIBLI MUSEUM is strictly by advance purchase of a reserved ticket which
specifies the appointed date and time of the reservation. The entrance hour is 4 times a day.

  • * The tickets will be sold till designated data and time. Please be careful since there is a time limitation to enter the museum. Please be reminded that the ticket availability is limited.
  • * You will not be able to use the ticket besides the appointed date.
  • * Change of date or refund is not accepted once the ticket has been sold.
  • * If the availability of ticket has been limited, the ticket of that designated date or time will be sold out.
  • * No shift of the visitors.

How to buy the ticket

To reserve ticket, go to Loppi (ticket selling machine) at Lawson.

and input it according to the instruction of the screen.

The application slip will be printed out from Loppi.
Take the application slip to the register,and pay within 30 minutes.
*If the tickets are sold out, an error message will appear on the screen.

At GHIBLI MUSEUM, please change this ticket to admission ticket at the service counter.
