Organizational Change (Effective March 1, 2005) Key Points of Change · A new CSR Promotion Office reporting directly to President Takeshi Niinami will be set up to actively drive forward CSR activities, a key element of Lawson Challenge 2007. · With the remit of fostering employee development and creating a more effective and rewarding working environment, the Human Resources Station will be given new functions and come under the direct control of the President. · The administrative areas of the operating divisions will be aligned with those of the development divisions to reinforce the framework for implementing regional strategy. · Employee education and training and personnel, currently the responsibility of the FC Support Division, will be transferred to independent organizations under each regional manager. This will boost Companywide efficiency by enhancing cooperation and responsiveness between head office and regional branches. · With the full-scale roll out of Natural Lawson, Next-Generation Format Project Team will be strengthened and upgraded to Next-Generation Business Development Division.
